Death Cab for Cutie and Ra Ra Riot

I went to see Death Cab for Cutie at The Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento this week. It was my first big concert and a lot of fun. The lighting was phenomenal, although it was seizure-inducing at times. The music was awesome, of course.

Their opening act Ra Ra Riot was pretty good, so I picked up their CD. I am digging the album. Go check out their songs on iTunes or your store of choice.

The other opening act was Cold War Kids, but they canceled due to illness. I tried spreading the rumor that they got swine flu, but it did not take. Oh well.

Grown Up Soda

We had a work event catered by Ciocolat, a Davis cafe. With my meal they gave us bottles of Grown Up Soda. I really liked mine and managed to finagle an extra bottle from someone else. I liked that the soda is not super-sweet and comes in several tasty flavors.

Pluses: 100% Natural, cane sugar. Minuses: It can be tough to find. My nearby Raley's did not have it, but the Bel-Air a few miles over had some.
